John Franklin "Frank" Cooper, 80, entered into rest Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus, Missouri. Born April 26, 1938, in Puxico, Missouri, to the late John Roy and Cora Agnes (Wills) Cooper. Frank taught fifth grade at Crystal City School until he retired in 1991, he worked a few years as a door greeter at Festus Walmart, he especially enjoyed meeting and visiting friends every morning at Cracker Barrel Restaurant; he also enjoyed Cardinal baseball and car shows. ...

John Franklin "Frank" Cooper, 80, entered into rest Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus, Missouri.

Born April 26, 1938, in Puxico, Missouri, to the late John Roy and Cora Agnes (Wills) Cooper. Frank taught fifth grade at Crystal City School until he retired in 1991, he worked a few years as a door greeter at Festus Walmart, he especially enjoyed meeting and visiting friends every morning at Cracker Barrel Restaurant; he also enjoyed Cardinal baseball and car shows. He was a member of Victory Church in Pevely, Missouri.

Survived by his family which includes his daughter, Ashley Cooper of Clayton, Missouri; brother, Homer Cooper of California and sister, Lois Rhodes of Farmington, Missouri. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Norman, Ralph, Albert, Floyd and Howard Cooper; sisters, Edith Cooper and Valera Knagg.

A memorial gathering will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 at the Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave. Festus, MO 63028. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating.
