Joan (Cox) Talbott

NEELYVILLE ­— Mrs Joan (Cox) Talbott 83, of Neelyville, passed away September 1, 2019 at the Oakdale Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff. She was born February 11, 1936 in Neelyville, to the late John Cox and Mary (Wills) Cox.

On June 30, 1953, she was married to Lewis Cass Talbott. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2001.

Mrs Talbott is survived by her children, Sharon Osher of Poplar Bluff, Ricky Talbott and wife, Carol of Neelyville, Cindy McIntyre of Cabot, Ark. and Larry Talbott of Chicago, Ill.; her grandchildren, Teresa Cline and husband, Joe, Michael Osher and wife, Mandi, Josh McIntyre, Zachary Talbott and wife, Emily; her great-grandchildren, Michael Osher Jr., Sean and Ryan Cline, Sophia and Weston Talbott; one sister, Cathy Cox of Tennessee also survives.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents and one infant, Gary Dean Talbott; one sister, Peggy Hancock and two brothers, Johnny Cox and Jerome McDowell Cox.

Visitation for Mrs. Talbott will begin at noon Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Neelville Chapel. Burial will be in the Gum Cemetery with J.C. Bryant officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial be made to Alzheimer’s research.
