Jimmy Lee Blurton, 76, of Poplar Bluff, moved to Heaven at 3:39 a.m. Tuesday July 18, 2017. He was born May 22, 1941 in Macks Creek, Mo. to the late Herbert Junior Blurton and Gladys Wanda Blurton (Rash).
Mr. Blurton enjoyed his grand and great-grandchildren, fishing, hunting and gun collecting.
He married Brenda Kay Blurton (Reed) Sept. 22, 1979. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Timmy of Elsinore, Danny (Debbie) of Poplar Bluff; three daughters: Pam Blurton Willis (Tim) of Macks Creek, Sarah Blurton Ray (Guy) of Williamsville, and Wanda Blurton Eastwood (Mark) of Fair Grove, Mo.; two brothers: Fred Blurton (Gail) and Dan Blurton (Crissy); one sister: JoAnn Smith (Wendell) of Macks Creek, Mo,; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 21, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will start at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating. Burial will be in the Old Oak Hill Cemetery.
