NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Jim McConnaughay, 64, of Oxly, Mo., passed away Thursday, Feb.14, 2019 at his residence.
He was born Janaury 28, 1955 in Rockford, Ill. to the late William McConnaughay and Vida “Carter” McConnaughay.
On August 3, 1973, at Naylor, Mo. he was married to Rosemary Murray. She survives.
Also surviving, one son, Chuck McConnaughay and wife Tosha of Doniphan, Mo.; and his daughter, Teresa Curtis and husband Wayne of Corning, Ark.; two brothers, Jeff McConnaghay and wife Terrie of Doniphan, Mo. and Mark McConnaughay and wife Sherry of Naylor; grandchildren, Drew, Seth, Charli, Miley, Caitlin, Cody, Chandler, Chelci and Clint; as well as one great-grandchild, Finley.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one brother, Jerry McConnaughay.
Jim was a member of the Oxley United Pentecost Church and had served as Sunday School Superintendent. He was a self-employed auto dealer and enjoyed his church, working on old cars, his grandchildren and family.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2019 in the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville, Mo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery in Oxley with Pastor Jeff McConnaughay officiating.
