Jerry M. Russell

Jerry M. Russell, 78, of Farmington, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Russell the son of the late Leslie and Georgia (Miller) Russell was born April 8, 1941 in Poplar Bluff. He was the owner and operator of Russell Construction Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking of all types, his home farm business and enjoyed bulldozing trees down.

On April 7, 1961 he married Carolyn Vinson in Poplar Bluff. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Michael (Sara) Russell of O’Fallon, Mo. and Brian Russell of Farmington; three grandchildren, Ezekiel Russell, Caleb Russell and Maggie Sherrill and a sister, Linda Arnold of Poplar Bluff.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Russell and a daughter in law, Patti Russell.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Three Springs Cemetery in Butler County.
