Jerry Leon Aldrich, 76, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, at his residence.
Jerry, the son of the late Lyman Meador Aldrich and Hazel Holladay Aldrich, was born April 14, 1943, in Poplar Bluff. He was a graduate of Broseley High School and Nashville Auto Diesel College.
Jerry was a longtime farmer; was former president of Farm Bureau, a former Eastern District County Commissioner and was a member of University Extension Council. He enjoyed spending time with his family, restoring antique tractors, traveling and word search puzzles.
Jerry married Carolyn Sue Heaton on Nov. 6, 1963, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, Teresa Eyvone (Joe) Murray and Jerry Leon (Terri) Aldrich II; four grandchildren, Bobbi Sue Maclin, Jerry Leon (Joyce) Aldrich III, Brandon Michael (Hoku) Aldrich and Joseph A.M. (Kelli) Murray; one great-grandchild, Melody Lee Maclin; one niece, Kay (Bobby) Stuart, and a host of friends.
Two brothers, Lyman Melvin Aldrich and Marvin O. Aldrich, also preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 11 am Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, with the funeral service following at noon. Chaplain Bill Orr will officiate. Burial will be at Holladay-Aldrich Cemetery in Wayne County.
