Doyle, Tenn. resident and Ripley County, Mo. native Jeanne Hagar, age 60, was born Oct. 21, 1958 and died Aug. 28, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.
A retired teacher and coach and a member of the Church of Christ at Arlington, Tenn. she was the daughter of Esther Burleson of Doniphan and the late Kenneth Burleson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brother, John Burleson.
She was married on June 23, 1984 to Gary Hagar of Doyle. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two children, Jonathan Hagar and wife, Anna of Smithville, Miss. and Jessica Hagar of Cookeville, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hogan and husband, Wendell, and Carilyn Rouyer and husband, Stacey, all of Pocahontas, Ark.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Calvin and Oralee Towell of Warm Springs, Ark. and Mark and Paula Prater and family.
Funeral services were held Aug. 31, in High’s Chapel with Justin Reed officiating. Burial followed in Mt. View Cemetery.
