Jeanette Telle, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at River Mist Assisted Living. Jeanette Telle, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at River Mist Assisted Living.

Mrs. Telle, the daughter of the late Leo and Lois (Weeks) Hahn, was born August 7, 1939 in Steele, Mo. She was a retired bookkeeper for Ozark Boarder and Southwestern Bell telephone assignments. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where at one time she enjoyed visiting shut-ins for the church. Mrs. Telle enjoyed spending time with her family. An avid golfer, she was a member of Westwood Hills Country Club. More recently, she spent her winters in Mesa, Ariz. Jeannette also enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, and participating in her painting clubs.

On July 31, 1983, she married "Tom" Telle in Poplar Bluff. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Angie (Arant) Swasho of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Sherry (Arant) Helm of Cape Girardeau, two-step children, Dr. Todd Telle of San Diego, Calif. and Karin Telle of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren, Renea English, Erin English Deaton, Tyler Helm, and twins, Tracie and Lacie Helm; five great-grandchildren, Landon, Cheyenne, Courtney, Jayson, and Hope, and two great-great-grandchildren, Autumn and Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Traci English.

The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at noon. Pastor Marty Reed will officiate. Burial will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
