FISK, Mo. -- Jeanette Patterson, 83, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Patterson was born Jan. 4, 1934 in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of the late Bertram and Nettie (Isbell) Brown. She had served in the Army Reserve where she received her training as an RN and had retired from the John J. Pershing VAMC. Mrs. Patterson was a member of the 1st Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff and was very active in the Tuesday morning Bible Class. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority group in Poplar Bluff and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She married James Patterson, March 10, 1960. He survives. She is also survived by one daughter. Amy Montgomery of Poplar Bluff; one son, Mark Patterson and wife, Davona of Olive Branch, Miss.; one sister, Barbara Ann Archer of Oak Dale, Calif.; five grandchildren: James Patterson, Randi Montgomery, Madison Patterson, Ricki Montgomery and Reed Montgomery and one great-grandchild, Addisyn Harper.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Gene Brown.
There will be a gathering of family and friends beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. A Memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. David Stewart officiating.
The family requests memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.
