DEXTER, Mo. -- James Ray Hanner, Jr., 44, son of the late James Ray, Sr. and Kathleen Ann Olson Sellers, was born in Poplar Bluff on April 20, 1973, and passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at his home in Dexter. James had lived in Poplar Bluff Mo. and Memphis, Tenn. before moving to Dexter in 2002. He and his spouse own and operate Lucas Florist...

DEXTER, Mo. -- James Ray Hanner, Jr., 44, son of the late James Ray, Sr. and Kathleen Ann Olson Sellers, was born in Poplar Bluff on April 20, 1973, and passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at his home in Dexter.

James had lived in Poplar Bluff Mo. and Memphis, Tenn. before moving to Dexter in 2002. He and his spouse own and operate Lucas Florist.

Surviving are his spouse, Derek Medler of Dexter; his grandparents, Raymond and Betty Hanner of Poplar Bluff; three sisters and husbands, Lana and Tracy Gleghorn of Corning, Ark., Connie and Greg McMeans of Qulin, Mo. and Lorra and Jeff McPherson of Poplar Bluff; Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at the Bailey Chapel Cemetery in Alton, Mo. with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Mo. in charge of arrangements.
