James 'Frank' Terry Sr.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — James Franklin ‘Frank’ Terry Sr., 77, of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at his home.

Frank was born in St. Louis, Mo. on November 11, 1941 the son of Dwight and Willa Jane (Cavender) Terry. He married Dolores Ann Vernon on November 27, 1986 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Together they shared 32 years before her passing on March 28, 2019.

Frank spent his career in radio as a DJ mostly at KLID 1340 AM in Poplar Bluff.

Frank enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn, he also loved spending time with his dog, Andy.

Survivors include two sons, Jim (Sandra) Terry, Rodney Terry; step-son James L. Vernon; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his parents.

A private celebration of Frank’s life will be held at his home on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. For more information please call Jim Terry at (319) 471-5003.
