DONIPHAN, Mo. -- James E. (Gene) Tennison, 96, formerly of Doniphan, Mo., passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 in Falls City, Neb.
Gene was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Thelma Carrigan Tennison, his parents Franklin M. Tennison and Malissa Couch Tennison, brothers, Lewis, Frank (Bud), and William (Bill) Tennison and sisters Ilene Myers and Betty Tibbs.
Gene is survived by his children, Linda Long Wallace of Williams Lake, British Columbia, Sandra Chaffee, Falls City, Neb., Jim Tennison, Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Bill Tennison of Doniphan.
Gene is also survived by his two brothers, Walter Tennison of St. Peters, Mo. and Malcom Tennison of Raymore, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Tennison was a WWII Veteran and proudly served with the 550th Airborne Infantry Battalion.
Visitation hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18 at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.
