KENNETT, Mo. — Jack Adkins, 83, of Kennett died Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born Sept. 9, 1938, in Gideon.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 30 years. He was a retired mortician and coroner.
His parents were the late Edward and Essie Pearl Cashion Adkins.
He married Velma Reeves May 16, 1958, in Gideon. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Jim (Marie) Adkins, Barry (Lisa) Adkins and Calvin (Tammy) Adkins; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six siblings.
Visitation will be from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Burial with military rites will be in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
