Hazel Anderson Knox, 97, of Munford, Tennessee, passed away in her home Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021.
She was born Dec. 4, 1923, to the late Floyd Anderson and Mabel (Woolsey) Anderson of St. Louis, Missouri. She was of the Lutheran faith.
On Feb. 14, 1953, she married her lifetime love, Billy Knox, Sr. in St. Louis. He preceded her in death, Nov. 15, 2003.
Her home was full of love while she worked to keep a good house and raise their seven children. Hazel’s talents as a seamstress came in handy with such a full home. She loved collecting dolls, working outside and raising flowers. Children, grandchildren and greats, were her love.
Hazel is survived by three sons, Terrence Chambers (Sharon) of Hardy, Virginia, Billy Knox, Jr. of St. Charles, Missouri, and Dennis Knox (Denise) of Foley, Missouri; four daughters, Carol Comeaux (Norm) of Naples, Florida, Deborah Doelger (Michael) of Mancos, Colorado, Christine Bankert (Dennis) of Munford, Tennessee and Rebecca Hunt (Richard) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, in the Fitch-Hillis Chapel. Service will begin at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Bloomfield. Social distancing and masks are recommended.
