Glinda Markham

Glinda Elizabeth Markham, 74, of Wappapello, Missouri passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at her home.

Glinda was born Jan. 28, 1946 to Bethel “Bodie” Lavelle Hicks and Polly Pauline Tune in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Glinda was a hard working woman who loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, and dancing.

Glinda is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Irene Clubb (Jeff) of Puxico; three sons, John Fenton Suggs III (Karen) of Cape Girardeau, George Robert Markham (Cherie) of Wappapello, James Jeffrey Markham (Rocio) of St. Charles, Missouri; one brother, Steve Hicks of Poplar Bluff; Plus a plethora of grandchildren and great-grandchildren sprinkled across the land.

Glinda was preceded by her parents; husband, John Fenton Suggs Jr.; husband, James Robert Markham Sr.; son, James Robert Markham Jr.; three brothers, Jimmy Hicks, Terry Hicks, and Mike Hicks; one granddaughter, Shara Elizabeth Faye Suggs.

A public graveside viewing and committal service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 at Black Creek Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
