Georgia Ann Graves, 89, daughter of the late George York and Clora N. Giles York was born on Oct. 26, 1927 and departed this life on Sept. 29, 2017 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Facility in Dexter, Mo.

Ms. Graves owned her own beauty shop where she was a Beautician. She was of Baptist Faith and was a resident of Dexter.

On Oct. 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to James Russell Graves in Blytheville, Ark. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2008.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Graves and wife Liz and Randy Graves and wife Diane, both of Dexter; two grandchildren, Eric Newkirk and Laura Kayler; four great-grandchildren, Logan Kayler, Allison Kayler, Mason Newkirk and Aspen Newkirk.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Lester York, Charles York, and Bill York; four sisters, Alma Eagle, Louella Kosolow, Mabel Ballentine, and Emma Emerling.

Friends may call on Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Services will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
