Gary Don Williams, 75, of Broseley, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
He was born April 6, 1944 in Bucoda, Mo., son of Levi and Jewel (Wood) Williams, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers:Doyle Williams of Thompsonville, Ill. and Doyen Williams of Fredericktown, Mo.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Candy (Howard) Williams; one son, Scott and wife, Kristy, Williams of Fisk; two daughters: Wendy (Estes) and husband, Mark, O’Kelley of Poplar Bluff, and Tonya Vanover of Puxico; three grandchildren, Jenna Williams, and Victoria (Tori) and Seth O’Kelley; one great-grandson, Otto Austin; one sister: Shirley Dowd, and many nieces and nephews.
Gary was a 1962 graduate of Broseley High School and a retired farmer. He lived on the same farm since 1957. For the past 24 years he attended Ash Hill General Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Gary loved traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed driving around looking at crops.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating.
