Gale Dover

Gale Ronlee Dover, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Gale was born on March 21, 1939 to Able and Nellie Dover in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He married Emilee Morse March 30, 1959, in Poplar Bluff.

Gale was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed boating, hunting, gardening and being outdoors.

Gale is survived by his wife Emilee Dover; two sons, Kevin (Marilyn) Dover of Louisville, Ky. and Gary Dover of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Sherry Dover of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Ron Dover of Victorville, Calif.; grandchildren, Cassie Jackson of Kansas City, Ashley Duggar of Fisk, Joey Dover of Legrange, Ky., Kyle White of Poplar Bluff, along with a host of stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gale was preceded by his parents; five brothers, Wayne Dover, James Dover, Robert Dover, Daniel Dover and Junior Dover; one sister, Suzy Cooley.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
