ELLSINORE, Mo. -- Freda June Davis, daughter of the late James E. and Alpha (Hillis) Dougherty was born June 24, 1940 in Williamsville, Mo., and departed this life on Nov.8, 2018 at her residence in Ellsinore, Mo. She had attained the age of seventy-eight years, four months and fifteen days.
Freda had resided in Ellsinore for the past 57 years and was formerly of St. Charles, Mo. She was of the non-denominational faith and a member of the Walton Chapel Church. She loved her church and her community and was an active member of her church as well as of the Walton Chapel Community Center. She enjoyed flowers, Cardinals baseball, her two dogs, and loved spending time and drinking coffee with her two lifelong friends from high school, and Friday night dinners with her lady friends.
On May 7, 1959, Freda was united in marriage to Everett Edd Davis in St. Charles, Mo., he preceded her in death on August 15, 2005.
She is survived by her son, Dwight Edd Davis and wife Vicky of Ellsinore, Mo., three daughters, Kimberly Dee Davis-Piant and husband Mark of Weldon Spring, Mo., Tammy Black and husband Danny of Ellsinore, Mo., and Dottie Davis of Ellsinore, Mo.; two brothers, Bill Dougherty of Williamsville, Mo., and Mac Dougherty of Hendrickson, Mo.; eight sisters, Juanita Tatum, Annabelle Anderson, Helen Dirck, Virginia Green, Della Blecha, Pat Anderson, Beverly Hake, and Doris Lehman; one grandchild, Amanda D. Prim and husband Derek of Rolla, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Avin Prim and Embry Prim and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Freda is preceded in death by one sister, Alpha Bilbrey and one brother, Jim Dougherty.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore, Mo.; with the Funeral Services following at noon in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Kenny Condray will officiate. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Ellsinore, Mo.
