NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Franklin James Stewart, 90, of Naylor, Mo. died June 29, 2019 in the Westwood Hills Healthcare of Poplar Bluff. Visitation was held Monday, July 1 in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. A graveside service followed at Gum Cemetery with Donnie Fowler officiating.

NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Franklin James Stewart, 90, of Naylor, Mo. passed away June 29, 2019 in the Westwood Hills Healthcare of Poplar Bluff. He was born December 12, 1928 in Coon Island, Mo. to the late, Fred and Nellie Stewart.

On August 19, 1959 at East St.Louis, Mo., he married Carol June Cole. She preceded him in death on August 17, 2014.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Duff of Poplar Bluff; one grandchild, Kendall Duff of Poplar Bluff; and one brother, Ray Stewart and Anita of Metropolis, Ill.

Besides his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, as well as one sister, Dorothy Stewart.

James enjoyed riding around the farm on his 3-wheeler, visiting with his buddies at the Quick Stop and gardening. He was happy and easy going and enjoyed vacationing with Carol. He cherished his granddaughter, Kendall very much.

Visitation was held Monday, July 1 in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. A graveside service followed at Gum Cemetery with Donnie Fowler officiating.
