Francis Miller

Francis Richard Miller, 93, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at his home.

Francis was born March 13, 1927 to Waldo Parks Miller and Allie Lyberger in Wayne City, Missouri. He married Esther L. Miller April 10, 1953, in Poplar Bluff.

Francis was a member of the Poplar Bluff Church of Nazarene. He served as a member of the U.S. Army. Francis enjoyed tinkering and looking at antique cars and tractors. In his younger years he liked to garden and spend time outdoors.

Francis is survived by one daughter, Sally (Mike) Kennedy of Poplar Bluff; one son, Steven (Christy) Miller of Marshall, Illinois; one brother, Gordon Miller of Arnold, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Christina Spencer (Frank), Tiffany Baucom (Jason), Candace Chapple, Bradley Miller, Kyerra Heuerman (Daniel), Jamie Miller, Allie Miller, and Ben Miller; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Emily and Hannah Spencer, Kelsey, Owen and MaKenna Baucom, and Ian Heuerman.

Francis was preceded by his wife, parents, and sister, Helen Steinberger.

A public graveside committal service with full Military Honors will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, with officiating by Rev. Greg Gilberto.
