ELLINGTON, MO. -- Frances A. Montague, 93, of Ellington, Mo. died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at her residence. She was born Dec. 9, 1918 in Bristol, Tenn. She was a Red Hatter. ELLINGTON, MO. -- Frances A. Montague, 93, of Ellington, Mo. died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 9, 1918 in Bristol, Tenn. She was a Red Hatter.

She was a photographer in the U.S. Army. Before her retirement, she worked for several government agencies including the Pentagon, HUD and the U.S. Forest Service. She worked longest for HUD.

Her hobbies were traveling, going to the lake and Current River, the ocean, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Nancy Baker of Farmington, Mo., and Connie Montague of Manassa, Va.; two brothers: Richard Arnold of Odessa, Fla., and Bobby Joe Arnold of Bristol, Tenn.,; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. A graveside service will be held Jan. 7 in Bristol, Tenn.
