Floyd Venable, 79 of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born on May 2, 1938 in San Fernando Valley, Calif., to the late Reaves and Cassie (Wilfong) Venable. He was married to Lois (Hall) Venable in 1961, she preceded him in death in 1995. In 1997 he met his beloved Billie Jean she survives...

Floyd Venable, 79 of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on May 2, 1938 in San Fernando Valley, Calif., to the late Reaves and Cassie (Wilfong) Venable.

He was married to Lois (Hall) Venable in 1961, she preceded him in death in 1995. In 1997 he met his beloved Billie Jean she survives.

Also surviving is one sister, Mary Jane Smith; two brothers, Leroy, and Howard Venable; Linda Rae Pipkins and JD Phipps whom he considered as his own children. He had retired as a building painter.

Floyd enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to Johnny Cash music, loved traveling, and family get-to-gathers. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Nadine Williams, Thelma Hall, Bertha Venable, Zetta Bruyere, by three brothers Paul, Reaves Jr., and Fred Venable.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. till 11.30 a.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home.
