Eula Fern Stephens, age 89, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Stephens was born September 7, 1931 in Coon Island, Missouri, daughter of the late James and Ina Crow. She loved going to auctions and buying and reselling. She also had booths in flea markets for many years. On June 12, 1971 she married Leonard Leon Stephens. He preceded her death on November 11, 2014.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Wayne Riley of Saint Charles, Missouri and Steven Wayne Stephens (Donna) of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Carpenter (Dale) of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren, Carol Gwen Gowen (Karl) and Timothy James Stephens (Lindsay) of Poplar Bluff, Benjamin Douglas and Jaime Lynn Carpenter of Denver, Colorado, Thomas Scott Carpenter of San Francisco, California, Ronnie Bunton (Brandy) of Dudley and Russell Bunton (Alex) of Moscow Mills, Missouri; 15 great-grandchildren, Kori Lynn and Christopher James Gowen, Kimber Renee Downing, MiKayla, Kaylie and Kayden Burm and Gabbie O’Brien, all of Poplar Bluff, Riley Carolyn Clow of Denver, Colorado, Parker Carter, Kaylee Rutledge, Autumn and Peighton Bunton all of Dudley and Maverick, Sawyer and Rhett Bunton all of Moscow Mills, Missouri; one sister, Wanda Bilderback of Saint Charles, Missouri.
She was also preceded in death by 11 siblings.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, March 8 at White Sanders Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Scott Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
