CAMPBELL — Erma Sue Veatch, 83, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Qulin, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019 at the New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid.
Erma, daughter of Wilburn Paul and Velma Alpha Gaultney Veatch, was born on Tuesday, July 7, 1936, in Campbell, Missouri.
She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and retired from Commerce Bank in Poplar Bluff.
Her survivors include one sister, Vickie Lynn Minehart of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Johnny Veatch and wife, Elayne, of Vail, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Ann Rhodes Veatch of Poplar Bluff; five nieces, Leslie Ann Pearson and husband, Rick, of Poplar Bluff, Lisa Caldwell and husband, Nick, of New Madrid, Lynn Choate of Kewanee, Lora Eads and husband, Kenny, of Chaffee, Judy Moore and husband, Pete, of Qulin; two nephews, John B. Veatch of Sorrento, Florida, and Stephen Veatch of Clemson, South Carolina; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jerron David Veatch, and one nephew, Christopher Veatch.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m., with Mr. John Veatch officiating. Interment will follow at Elder Cemetery in Campbell.
