Elvin (Sonny) Kneir, 93, of Williamsville, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 8, 2022 at his home in Williamsville. Sonny was born on June 7, 1929 to Samual and Minnie (Hawks) Kneir. He married Mary Joyce (Vinson) on July 2, 1949, in Piggott Arkansas, and they were happily married for 73 years...

Elvin (Sonny) Kneir, 93, of Williamsville, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 8, 2022 at his home in Williamsville.

Sonny was born on June 7, 1929 to Samual and Minnie (Hawks) Kneir. He married Mary Joyce (Vinson) on July 2, 1949, in Piggott Arkansas, and they were happily married for 73 years.

Sonny was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing on the river. He loved to tell stories of his childhood and crack jokes, Sonny had a great sense of humor and had a strong

faith in God and family.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his children, Steven, Sandra (Bill) Garrett, and Joy (Kevin) Rafferty; his grandchildren, Kimberly Maher, Kasey Simpson, Sarena Hocke, Ashley

Garrett, Erin Rafferty, eight great-grandchildren including one that will arrive in December, and one brother, Vernon.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Shirley Earline; one sister, Naomi Scheps; and three brothers, Verlin, Charles, and Chester.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - noon Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funeral services will immediately follow starting at noon with Pastor Brian Sharp officiating with burial at Black River Cemetery.
