Elmer Dale Hargate

NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Elmer Dale Hargate, 77, departed this life on July 1, 2019 at his residence in Harviell Mo.

Mr. Hargate was born on July 13, 1941, to the late Matt Hargate and Mildred Brown Hargate.

On March 23, 1963, he married Bonita Birdwell, she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Belinda Flanigan (Wayne) of Harviell Mo.; four grandchildren, Tara, Quinton, Natalie and Lily; two great-grandchildren, Jayda and Bryson; three sisters, Gracie Coble,Ruby Prosise and Shirley Hall, as well as one brother, Earnest ‘Bud’ Hargate.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Scottie Dale Hargate

In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and enjoyed his grandchildrens basketball and softball games.

He was of the General Baptist faith, and was a member of Ash Hill General Baptist Church of Fisk Mo.

Visiting will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 5 at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville with the funeral following at 4 p.m.

Burial will follow in the Coon Island Cemetery near Neelyville Mo. Rev. Gary Hancock will officiate.
