DONIPHAN, Mo. — Elizabeth Ann Tanner Capps passed away in her home in Doniphan, Missouri Dec. 12, 2020. Elizabeth was born in Doniphan Jan. 27, 1950 to Wilfred and Vivian (Slayton) Tanner. She worked for Doniphan RI School District from 1990-2014. Her passion was caring for others, and most of her time working for the school district was spent as a special education aide (paraprofessional) to three children that she loved like family. ...

DONIPHAN, Mo. — Elizabeth Ann Tanner Capps passed away in her home in Doniphan, Missouri Dec. 12, 2020.

Elizabeth was born in Doniphan Jan. 27, 1950 to Wilfred and Vivian (Slayton) Tanner.

She worked for Doniphan RI School District from 1990-2014. Her passion was caring for others, and most of her time working for the school district was spent as a special education aide (paraprofessional) to three children that she loved like family. She continued her selfless care of others when she retired from a job she loved to babysit for her grandson, Damon Donnell, until he was old enough to attend school.

Mrs. Capps was proceeded in death by her parents, a nephew, Rick Tanner, and great-niece, Nicole Tanner.

Surviving is her husband, Mark Capps; her daughter, Betsy (Rick) Donnell; and a grandson, Damon Donnell. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Jim (Vicki) Tanner, Sara (Mike) Cronin, and Scott (Paula) Tanner, and many very beloved nieces and nephews.

A small, family only service will be held at a later date.
