PIGGOTT, Ark. - Edward Leon Moffitt, 75, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away July 26, 2018, at the Alahambra Care Center in Alahambra, Illinois.
He was born on July 30, 1942, in Fagus, Missouri and was the son of Doyle and Edith (King) Moffitt.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Idabelle Moffitt and father, Doyle Moffitt.
Edward enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and watching baseball.
Survivors include his children: Barry Moffitt and wife Lisa, Dawn Morrissey and fiancée David Wilson, Michael Drummonds and wife Nichole, Libby Dotson and husband Bob, Crystal Reiter, and Doyle Moffitt and wife Melissa; grandchildren: Zachery Moffitt and wife Danielle, Nicholas Moffitt and wife Ashley, Kirk Dotson, Kelsey Dotson, Ashley Drummonds, Amber Drummonds, Brandon Drummonds, David Morrissey, Abigail Morrissey, Jackson Morrissey, Madison Scott, Chase Reiter, Ben Lomax, Liam Moffitt, and Vivian Moffitt; great-grandchildren: Joshua Drummonds, Aiden Drummonds, Dominic Drummonds, Kaidynce Moffitt, Thomas Moffitt, and Bailey Moffitt; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 6, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Zachery Moffitt, Nicholas Moffitt, Kirk Dotson, Brandon Drummonds, David Morrissey, Chase Reiter, and Jackson Morrissey. Honorary pallbearers are Ben Lomax and Liam Moffitt. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Sunday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.
