Edith “Elaine” Thurmon, 70, of Broseley, Missouri, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at her residence in Broseley.
Mrs. Thurmon was born Aug. 17, 1952, daughter of the late Luke Riley and Dorothy Jean Acord. She was the loving mother of Dino Oberkramer and Matthew Thurmon. She was also a proud grandma and mawmaw and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren more than anything else.
Elaine is survived by one son: Dino (Christine) Oberkramer of Broseley; one daughter-in-law, Mindy Thurmon of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren: Kyle (Hannah) Oberkramer, Mason (Aliece) Oberkramer, Hannah Thurmon, and Chloe Thurmon, and fiancé, Lane Crowden; three great-grandchildren: Bristol, Quinn, and Waylon Oberkramer; and one brother: John Lowery. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son: Matthew Thurmon.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
