CORNING, Ark. -- Earl Eugene Taylor, 81, of Corning passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. Mr. Taylor was formerly a teacher at Corning High School and had retired from Sears Youth Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He enjoyed playing the stock market, hunting, fishing, and collecting arrowheads and coins. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was of the Church of Christ faith...

CORNING, Ark. -- Earl Eugene Taylor, 81, of Corning passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Mr. Taylor was formerly a teacher at Corning High School and had retired from Sears Youth Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He enjoyed playing the stock market, hunting, fishing, and collecting arrowheads and coins. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include his children, Tara (Steve) Kegley of Corning, Kristi (Wayman) Baker of Poplar Bluff, and Ryan (Shea) Taylorton of Maryland; former wife, Sue Taylor of Corning; grandchildren, Kaley (Chad) Brewer, Karri (Alan) Clifton, Kandace (Alex) Baldwin, and Jake (Melanie) Kegley; and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Brock Brewer, Payson and Presley Clifton, Annalee and Bauer Baldwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arlie and Erma (Mendenhall) Taylor and sister Irene Tribble.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2 p.m.. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
