NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Dorothy Dunlap, 88, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Dexter, Missouri while surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born Feb. 7, 1934 to Orley and Ethel (Newingham) White in Moark, Arkansas. On Sept. 25, 1970, she was united in marriage to Earl Dunlap at Poplar Bluff.
Dorothy was a founding member of the Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center. She served as song leader and Sunday school teacher. She worked in dry cleaning for many years. She then married and started her favorite job - caring for her husband and daughter.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Dan) Churchill of Dexter, Missouri; two granddaughters, Katarrah and Serina Churchill; two sisters, Pat Dunlap of Poplar Bluff and Shelby Jean Johnson of Paragould, Arkansas and sister-in-law, Shirley Stinson of Festus, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Larry White, and brothers-in-law, Roy Dunlap and Morgan Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville, Missouri. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Kinsey Cemetery in Harviell, Missouri.
