Donna Frances Forsythe, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Donna was born March 25, 1943, in Poplar Bluff to the late Thomas F. and Geraldine (Hert) Smith.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Palace of Praise Church where she helped with the hospital ministry. Donna loved to read, sing, go camping, she had a green thumb with her house plants, and she was an amazing cook and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was the world’s best wife, mom, mother-in-law and grandmother.
Donna is survived by her husband: Donald Forsythe; two sons: Tom (Lisa) Hodge and Gene (Renea) Forsythe; two daughter: Dee Hodge and Mary (Gary) Reynolds; one bonus son: Jerry DeWitt; two brothers: Terry Smith and Rodney Smith; special sister-in-law, Brenda Smith; 13 grandchildren: Trenton, Fran, Corey, Craig, Jordan, Maddie, Ty, Gracie, Jaylynn, Zarek, Keagen, Star and Caden; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Geraldine Smith, and three brothers, Franklin Smith, Larry Smith and Philip Smith.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022 at Fitch-Hillis Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022 at Palace of Praise Church in Poplar Bluff with Pastor Kent Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
