Donald Ray Sawyer, 81, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 in Poplar Bluff surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 29, 1936 in Kennett to the late Ed and Imogene Sawyer. Mr. Sawyer attended Mt. Zion Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was a truck driver.

Mr. Sawyer married Sue Sawyer in 1958 and she preceded him in death Jan. 16, 2006. On June 5, 2008 he was united in marriage to Shirley McGarrity Sawyer. She survives. Also surviving are his children; Charlynda Snodgrass and husband, Clay, Letitia Pollard and husband, Fred. one brother, Thomas Gardner, and two sisters: Peggy Trout and Wilma Benny; two grandchildren: Morgan Venable and husband Steven, and Carl Snodgrass.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff with the funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery Broseley, Mo. Pastor Danny Robinson will be officiating.
