BLOOMFIELD — Donald “Donnie” Ray Hayes, age 73, of Summersville, Missouri, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at his residence in Summersville.
Mr. Hayes was born March 15, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, son of the late Raymond and Alberta Thomas Hayes. He was in the Army and served in Vietnam.
On Feb. 14, 2001, he married Carolyn Trout. She survives. Also surviving are four daughters: Sandra Bryant of Saint Louis, Missouri, Angie (Daniel) Sweeza of Cape Coral, Florida, Amy (Octavio) Gonzalez of Poplar Bluff, and Deana (Josh) Embrey of Peach Tree City, Georgia; two step sons: Bobbie Ward and Gary Ward both of Dexter, Missouri, 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Alberta Hayes of Dudley, Missouri; one brother: Gary Hayes; two sisters: Faye Bolster and Judy Williamson; one step daughter: Crystal Riddle and one brother in law: Lonell Williamson.
Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield. Due to COVID requirements at the cemetery, only 10 family members are allowed in the shelter. All other attendees must remain outside the shelter. Face coverings are required.
