Dolores ‘Dee’ June Elledge, 88, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Litchfield, Ill., passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Elledge, the daughter of Virgil and Edith Huddleston Miller, was born June 10, 1931, in Gillespie, Ill. She was a member of The Bluff Church in Poplar Bluff. During her earlier years she worked as a secretary for Florida Healthcare in Daytona, Fla. She later retired as a Junior High School Secretary in Litchfield, Ill. Mrs. Elledge was a former volunteer at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center as well as at First Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was married to William Clinton Elledge on Jan. 12, 1953, in Litchfield, Ill. Today they are celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary in Heaven.

Survivors include her son, David (Luann) Elledge of Poplar Bluff; a daughter-in-law Catherine Elledge, of Edgewater, Fla.; four grandchildren, Erik (Samantha) Elledge, of Daytona Beach, Fla., Lauren Hasanov, Lyndsee (Brandon) Moon and Luke (Leslie) Elledge, all of Poplar Bluff; six great-grandchildren: Skylar Elledge, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Samuel and Alex Hasanov, Emmalyn and Oliver Moon and William Elledge, all of Poplar Bluff; and a sister Carol Keeley of Benld, Ill.

In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Elledge also is preceded in death by her son, William L. ‘Rusty’ Elledge, a grandson Aaron Elledge, a sister Maxine Bodi and a brother Gary Miller.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with a Celebration of Life Service following at 2 p.m. Her son the Rev. David Elledge will officiate. Inurnment will be in Illinois at a later date.
