Dean William Hartley, 57, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was born Aug. 6, 1961, in Los Angeles, Calif., and departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018.
In August, 1996, Dean was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Sherman) Hartley. To this family was added four children: James Hartley of Farmington, Dean (DJ) Hartley Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Rae Nicole (Nikki) (Mark) Tulley and Mary Cook (David) of Van Buren, Mo. and 10 grandchildren: Ashlynn, Riley, Karissa Tilley, Dustin Rodgers, Abigail, Gemma and Ronnie Tilley, Addison Cook and William Lee and Eathan Hartley.
He also leaves his mother, Melba Hartley of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, James (Kim) Hartley of Wynn, Ark., Eric Hartley of Poplar Bluff; five sisters, Cindy Hartley of Poplar Bluff, Treva (Rick) Lile of Rialto, Calif., Ramona (Victory) Rice of Lake Hills, Texas, Melody (Angel) Casarez of Palmdale, Calif., and Julie (Chris) Bud of Lancaster, Calif.; a host of niece and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousin and many special friends.
Dean was a people person. He liked to talk with others especially special folks. He liked to give to make others happy.
Dean was preceded in death by his dad, James Milton Hartley, and a stillborn grandson also named James.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 24, 2018 at the Patterson School in Patterson, Mo., with burial following at Santhuff Cemetery on Dry Valley north of Ellington, Mo.
