Curtis Hinton, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois
Curtis was born on October 8, 1953 to Levell and Elsie Hinton in Wynne, Arkansas. He married Loretta Randolph on December 16, 1972 in Poplar Bluff.
Curtis LOVED to cook. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and talking. He was an involved member of the Poplar Bluff community. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a member of Brown Chapel AME Church. Curtis retired from his long-time position as a postal worker at the Poplar Bluff Post Office. He was also a member of the Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Loretta Hinton; two children, Trina Hinton and Curtis Randolph Hinton, both of Poplar Bluff; one granddaughter, Jennifer-Renee Hinton; four sisters, Elsie Jamison, Priscilla Waller, Violet Brown and Annie Hinton; five brothers, Levell Hinton Jr., Lorell Hinton, Dalvertis Hinton, Paul Hinton and Willie Hinton.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gwendolyn Martin and one brother, Walter Murphy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16 from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
Services will also be on Friday, April 16 with special Masonic service beginning at 12:30 p.m. and funeral service to follow with Rev. William Harold officiating. Burial will take place at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
