Connie Pettit

NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Connie Lee Pettit, 78, of Doniphan, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Pettit was born Oct. 13, 1942 in Doniphan to the late Garrett Decker and Maxine Payne Jones. She had worked as a waitress for 30 plus years as well as a CNA working with Alzheimer’s patients. Connie enjoyed going to casinos, reading, golfing, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On July 4, 1958, she married Robert “Bob” Ball in Briar, Missouri. He preceded her in death Sept. 26, 2007.

On Oct. 16, 1992, she married Leonard Pettit in Hillsboro, Missouri. He preceded her in death April 23, 2014.

Connie leaves behind her two loving children, Brian Ball and wife, Kim, and Diane Littrell and husband, Elmer; son-in-law, Shawn Bond; three stepsons, Blaine Pettit and Michelle, Robert Pettit and Haven Pettit; three sisters, two half-sisters, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as two great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Connie was preceded in death by her loving daughter Sherry Bond and Robert “Bob” Ball.

Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 at the West Point United Pentecostal Church in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Chuck Carr officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Hunt-White Cemetery.
