CORNING, Ark. -- Clarence Junior "C.J." Dowdy, 70, of Corning passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 at home.
Mr. Dowdy owned Flying Hog Enterprises in Corning. He loved to work and play baseball. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
On Dec. 20, 1979, he married Martha Dowdy. She survives. Other survivors include his brother Mike Dowdy of Corning; and step-sister Judy Gambrell of Brookland.
He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Henry Dowdy; mother Jesteen (Wilburn) Dowdy; and father and step-mother Clarence E. and Marie Dowdy.
Visitation will be from 6 -8 p.m, Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will be at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning.
