GREENVILLE, Mo. - Charles H. Crum, age 91, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at his home near Greenville. He was born October 4, 1925 in Huntington, TN, the son of Charles Oscar Crum and Mary Lou (Blew) Crum.
He owned and operated Crum Grocery in Wappapello for many years and was active in the Wappapello community. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Army from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge #107 and the New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva.
Charles was married to Geraldine Hutchison March 30, 1946 in Deerborn, MI and she passed away March 14, 2012. Also preceding him in death are his parents; Charles and Mary Lou Crum, one son; Charles L. Crum, three brothers; Carl, Arley and Robert Crum and six sisters; Lillie Mae Landers, Orena Crider, Stella Grace Jennings, Francis Stanley, Lois Grey and Aileen Crum.
Survivors include two daughters; Sandra Franks and her husband Terry, of Woodhave, MI, Brenda Hill and her husband Larry, of Greenville, his daughter in law, Elizabeth Crum of Tarpon Springs, FL, eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. and Masonic services will follow at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva with Pastor Dan Ross and Bro. Tommy Brown officiating. Interment with military honors will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
