ELLSINORE — Charles Edward Crowley, 77, died Sept. 23, 2019 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center iin Poplar Bluff. A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore with the funeral services being held on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

ELLSINORE — Charles Edward Crowley, son of the late Virgle and Goldie (Anderson) Crowley was born Dec. 7, 1941 in Poplar Bluff and departed this life on Sept. 23, 2019 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He attained the age of seventy-seven years, nine months and sixteen days.

Charles had resided in Ellsinore for his entire lifetime. He was of the Methodist faith, and had attended the Ellsinore United Methodist Church in Ellsinore. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Grandin. Before retirement, he worked road maintenance for the Missouri Department of Transportation. He enjoyed making people laugh, foxhunting, being outdoors, and mowing grass, his own and everyone else’s. Charles was very generous, always willing to help anyone that needed it. He loved his family and his grandchildren.

On Dec. 7, 1963, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Charlotte Sisco in Ellsinore. She preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2016.

He is survived by his son, Tracy Crowley and wife Ladeana of Ellsinore; one brother, Larry Crowley and wife Debbie of Ellsinore; two sisters, Nina Julian of Ellsinore, and Gale Heidenfelder and husband Don of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Scott Crowley and Alexis Crowley; three sisters-in-law, Lorene Crowley, Maralee Crowley and Sandra Crowley; and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife Charlotte, Charles is preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Crowley, Tom Crowley and Bill Crowley and one sister, Donna Miller.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore with the funeral services being held on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. John Crowley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walton Chapel Cemetery in Ellsinore.
