Charles ‘Dub’ Wesley Hall, 92, of Essex, Missouri, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Westfield Nursing Center in Morehouse, Missouri. Mr. Hall was born on July 25, 1928 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He had lived at Essex for the past 62 years.

He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Mr. Hall received his BSE from ASU in Jonesboro, Arkansas and his Master’s degree in Administration from George Peabody University. He enjoyed teaching at one room schoolhouses in Stoddard County, Missouri initially and then he taught schools at all levels and served administratively at Essex Schools and Arcadia Valley Schools. He retired from Supervisor of Student Teachers for Southeast Missouri State University in 1982. He enjoyed all sports; he played baseball, bowled and competitive golf for many years. He had 7 hole-in-ones and certainly enjoyed sharing that information with friends. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and tried to watch every game. He and his wife loved square dancing and camping. They spent many winters in the RGV at Fun-N-Sun Resort in San Benito, Texas.

On February 28, 1948 he married Emma Jean Holden in Pontiac, Michigan. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2011.

He is survived by one daughter, Charla Jean ‘Suzie’ Ruppert of Essex, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Hall of Essex; one sister, Alice Jarrell of Dexter, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hall of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Pauline ‘Sis’ Bailey of McKinney, Texas; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ossie Hall; his grandparents; two sons, Dana Wesley Hall and his wife, Lavonna Shelton Hall and Kurtis Randal Hall; four brothers, Gary, Roy, Walker and Brent; three sisters, Toots, Marge and Sue and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 5 at White- Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Krag Runzi and Grant Winstead officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri. Memorials may be given to Essex Baptist Church C/O Marlene Winstead: PO Box 75 Essex, MO 63846.
