Cecil Woods Jr.

Cecil James (Jimmy) Woods Jr., 55, of St. Louis passed away May 19, 2020, peacefully in his home.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Roosie Lee Hood, and his father, Cecil James Woods Sr.

Jimmy was born in Poplar Bluff. He attended Central High School in Minnesota and later graduated from North Hollywood School in North Hollywood, California. Jimmy later attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

At the time of his death, Jimmy worked at Allied Universal for the past five years. Jimmy’s love for fashion design, sketching and drawing was known by all the people that were in his life. Jimmy was very gifted, and he enjoyed sharing his gift with anyone who he came in contact with.

He’s was survived by his sisters, Lesa Woods, Helen Woods, Leslie Woods and Reeyana Woods; brothers, Terry Woods and Stephen Woods; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday in Poplar Bluff. A viewing will be from 9-11:45 a.m. and funeral services will follow at noon, at Fitch Hills Funeral Home, 366 College Street, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.

Burial services will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery following the service.
