Carol Eugene Whitehead, 77 of Wappapello, Mo. passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his residence in Wappapello.
Eugene, son of William and Zetha Lewis Whitehead, was born on Saturday, June 29, 1940 in Campbell, Missouri.
He was a Journeyman for Associated Electric and was a member of the Puxico Church of Christ and was in the National Guard.
On Aug. 5, 1957, in Kennett, Mo., he was united in marriage to Janet Burch. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Schaefer and husband, Mike, of St. Louis; one son, Thomas Whitehead and wife, Jerrie of Wappapello; six grandchildren, Marie Schaefer, Rachel Schafer, Nick Schafer, Joseph Whitehead, Heather Whitehead and Dawn Whitehead; one brother, Gary Joe Whitehead and wife, Sarah of St. Peters; one sister, Mary Cashion of Pittsburg, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Whitehead; three brothers, Paul Richard Whitehead, Jerry Lee Whitehead and Doyle Ray Whitehead.
