POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Carmenlita Sells, 87 passed away on January 24, 2019 at Festus Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on July 10, 1931 to the late Ed and Etta (Luther) Berry at Kennett, Mo. She was married to Thomas (Jr) Sells son of the late Rev. Gene and Edna Sells on June 26, 1948. He preceded her in death after 52 years of marriage. She loved her family and friends. She liked to cook for them and make them laugh creating many happy memories. She worked at various retail shops and was a hairdresser. She was a member of First Baptist Church and also had attended Twin Springs Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Carmenlita is survived by daughter; Sherry Gosnell (Larry) of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., son; Rick Sells (Mary) of Poplar Bluff, a special companion; Ted Gorman of Poplar Bluff, two sisters; Linda Montgomery (Robert) of Poplar Bluff and Carolyn Woodard (Phillip) of Warrensburg, brother-in-law; Paul Sells (Sue) of Poplar Bluff, sister-in-law; Ruth Bauman (Glennon) of De Soto, five grandsons; Michael Scott (Kim), Sam Gosnell, Ryan Sells, Orlando Penrod (Anastasia), Anthony Gosnell, two granddaughters; Heather Schnitzler (Jason), Jessica Sells (Andy), great-grandchildren; Tyler & Collin Gosnell, Rylan, Jase & Kolton Sells, Cole, Will, Max, Lane & Reese Schnitzler, Lexi, Gracie, Raigan, Kale Caudel, Olivia Penrod, Brandon & Karly Scott and great-great-grandchild; Karmi Caudel.

She was preceded in death by husband; Thomas (Jr) Sells, son; Stephen Sells, father; Ed Berry, mother; Etta Berry, brother; Marrel Berry, sister; Joyce Miller.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, 1 p.m. at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff with Dale Stringer officiating.

Burial will take place in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
