FISK, Mo. -- Carl E. Lloyd Sr., age 84, of Broseley, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at his residence in Broseley, Mo.
Mr. Lloyd was born Nov. 13, 1932, in Swifton, Ark., son of the late Henry Edward and Mattie Tacy Loyd. He had served in the Army during the Korean War. Mr. Lloyd retired from John J. Pershing Medical Center.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
On Jan. 22, 1955, he married Bonnie Wilson in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jeanette Tutor and husband, Alfred, of Broseley, Mo.; three sons, Richard Lloyd and Christopher Lloyd, both of Broseley, and Carl E. Lloyd Jr. of Wappapello; one brother, Gary Loyd of Broseley; two sisters, Joyce Strange of Poplar Bluff and Sherry Ollis of Paragould, Ark.; three grandchildren, Peaches, Gary and Brandy and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by nine siblings and one grandson, Kirk Lloyd.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Mo.
