DEXTER — Bruce Lee Fetters, 79, son of the late Norman Bruce Fetters and Evalee Sielert, was born on March 27, 1942, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life Dec. 4, 2021, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 79 years. DEXTER — Bruce Lee Fetters, 79, son of the late Norman Bruce Fetters and Evalee Sielert, was born on March 27, 1942, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life Dec. 4, 2021, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.

Mr. Fetters was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a former lineman for Ozark Border and a resident of Wappapello, Missouri. He was a member of the American Legion in Dexter, Missouri, and the VFW.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Luella Smith of Wappepello, Missouri; and by his grandson, Dustin Mayberry of Rome, Georgia.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Fetters and Ronnie Fetters.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
