Bobbie Dean went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017.
She was born Sept. 7, 1947. A native of Mississippi, Bobbie resided in Louisville, Ky. with her husband Ivory Dean for the past three years. She spent most of her life in Poplar Bluff. You may know her as the nice lady at K-Mart, where she worked 35 years until she retired in 2011.
She was very active in her church, Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher and later served as First Lady of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ivory Dean of Louisville, Ky., four children, Juanita Smith of Poplar Bluff, Jeanette Mills (Johnnie) of San Diego, Calif., Johnny Shelton (Thlitha) of Baltimore, and Katina Jones (Anthony) of Atlanta, Ga. Bobbie has six grandchildren: Maurice Jordan, Clyde Reed, Jr,, Travis Reed, Gary Mills, Shawnda' Shelton and Shawnta' Shelton. She has four great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Eudaley, Trenton Reed, Jasilyn Reed and Olivia Shelly.
Bobbie's funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7 at First Gethsemane Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky. A memorial will be held in Poplar Bluff at a later time which will be announced.
