Bobbie Jo Waddell, 84, of Poplar Bluff, entered her eternal home Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Cedargate Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.
Bobbie, the daughter of the late Robert and Maggie Ellen Timberman Boyers, was born Dec. 18, 1935, in the Coon Island Township of Butler County. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked for many years as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at the old Poplar Bluff Hospital as well as Lucy Lee Hospital. Bobbie enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and playing with her cats, dogs, ducks and other animals.
Survivors include her son John Patrick Waddell; a sister, Roberta V. Conner both of Poplar Bluff; four nieces, Ellen Oxley, Becky Jaco, Shirley Nichols and Vicky Nichols; and two nephews, A.J. White and Jimmy Dale White.
In addition to her parents Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Guy L. ‘Ace’ Waddell; three brothers, John Abraham Boyers and Eddie Nichols and Jimmie Nichols; and two sisters, Ruby Boyers Donika ad Rinda Lou Boyers Aldridge.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. A graveside service and burial will follow at 2 p.m. in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
